AMSTERDAM, MAY 1 (MExN): A documentary on the Naga peoples and its political struggle titled ‘with NAGAs: Longest Modern War’ was premiered at De Balie, Amsterdam, Netherlands. According to a press release issued by the Naga International Support Center (NISC), the documentary delves into the narrative of the Naga people’s enduring political struggle, tracing its origin from the very inception
The press release informed that the documentary “bares a lot of misdeeds by the colonizers and neo colonizers.” What happened in the land of the Nagas and should be known and dealt with, it added.

For this reason, it said the documentary indicts The United Kingdom on two major points - it left without mentioning or deciding anything on the future of the Naga homeland and secondly, it did not interfere when India invaded the Naga homeland and afterwards called it India.
“In the process, tortured and killed approximately 300.000 Nagas (their own were not counted) and the world did not know. Why? Because India locked the Naga homeland so that nobody, not even Indians themselves, could enter,” it stated.

After the screening of the documentary and these facts were presented visually in full the audience applauded 3 minutes, the press release further stated.
“This documentary shows the truth about what Nagas experienced first under Great Britain. And second under India and Burma. Naga Culture were able withstand a formidable army of no less than 200.000 soldiers. They never attacked India on Indian soil; they protected their homeland against brutal invasions,” it said.
