Don Bosco College observes International Mountain Day

Kohima, December 11 (MExN): The Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK) observed the International Mountain Day (IMD) on December 11 with an expedition to Mt Pulie Badze, Jotsoma by six NCC cadets from the college along with Ano Lt Rokovinuo.

They planted placards carrying the message “Sustainable Mountain Tourism” to celebrate the International Mountain Day and collected the plastics littered on the hill top, a press release from the DBCK informed. The team reached the hill top at around 6.30 AM. 

The theme of IMD 2021 was ‘Sustainable Mountain Tourism’ with emphasise on rethinking mountain tourism and its impact on natural resources and livelihoods, to manage it better, and to harness it towards a more resilient, green and inclusive future.
