
Kohima, August 9 (MExN): Affirmative Customer Experience (ACE), an initiative of Entrepreneur Associates (EA) supported by Directorate of Underdeveloped Area (DUDA), Government of Nagaland was launched on August 9 at the Training and Research Centre, EA office, Kohima.
ACE is a flagship program under BADP – Capacity Building Program 2015-16 which will start on August 10, 2016. ACE, a customer service centric training for the retail and hospitality sectors, plays the dual function of being both a training and placement portal. It is a holistic 90-hour program spread over 30 working days that imparts training on employability skills, informed a press release received here.
Chief Guest KS Anden Konyak, Director, DUDA, during his address asked the trainees to put their sincere efforts in their training and to practise what they have learned. He also urged the trainees to lead a purposeful life so that people from the border areas will look up to them and follow their footsteps.
Ela Susan James, Lead Trainer, EA in her introductory note said that the trainees will be the first ambassadors of the training program. She stressed on the unfortunate current status quo of customer service in the State and exhorted the trainees to utilize the training for self-improvement and to bring changes in the retail and hospitality sectors in Nagaland.
The program was attended by dignitaries of DUDA, Zakie Angami, Project Officer (BADP), Manlen Konyak, Superintendent (Estd), Malang Phom, Additional Director, trainees of ACE and staff of EA.
It was reported that 25 trainees who will undergo ACE training were selected from the border areas of Nagaland.
The program was chaired by Yutho Sangtam, Administrative Coordinator, EA, while vote of thanks was given by Thejazevi Riirhia, Coordinator (SKILLS).
