Dimapur | November 22

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Ritcher Scale rocked Nagaland Sunday morning. 

According to the National Centre for Siesmology (NCS), the 4.4 earthquake occurred at the depth of 23.2 km and tremors were felt at 8:59 am.

The NCS put the epicentre of the earthquake at about 11km East of Mokokchung, Nagaland.

"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.4, Occurred on 22-11-2020, 08:59:20 IST, Lat: 26.31 & Long: 94.63, Depth: 23.2 Km ,Location: 11km E of Mokokchung, Nagaland, India...," NCS' official Twitter handle updated.

The tremors were reportedly felt across the several locations in Nagaland including Dimapur as well as the neighbouring state of Assam.

No damage of property or casualties have been reported so far.
