DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has appealed the Nagaland Government for relocation/decentralisation of the recruitment venues for the Eastern Nagas in connection to the advertisement for filling up the post of constables in Nagaland Armed Police battalion and District Executive Force.
A press statement issued by the ENSF maintained that the prospects of candidates from Eastern Nagaland applying for the post will be hampered owing to financial constraints as many will not be able to afford to travel to Mokokchung since most of them are from far flung areas. Mokokchung is the venue for recruitment for the candidates belonging to Eastern Nagaland.
The ENSF pointed out that more than 7000 candidates from Eastern Nagaland has applied for the advertised posts and therefore the department ought to consider the situation while also keeping in mind that there are places where even transport facility is not available within their respective district headquarters.
While citing the above points, the ENSF has appealed the government to relocate the recruitment venues for the Eastern Nagas at respective district headquarters for convenience of the candidates.
