ENSF handing and taking over prog held

Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The handing and taking over programme of Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) was held at DUDA guest house on October 8. The programme was chaired by Manpang Konyak, Former Vice President, ENSF in the presence of six Federating Units of ENSF Viz CCSU, KSU (Konyak), KSU (Khiamniungan), YAA, USSC and PSC respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, a press release stated here that Advisor to ENSF Shasha L Phom addressed on the unity of the six tribes without any bias prejudice, stating “Eastern Naga is not a tribe but is a conglomeration of six tribes that sheer responsibility for the upliftment of Eastern people as one.” 

ENSF outgoing President, Sepili L Sangtam emphasized on the challenges and struggles faced by the Federation and further encouraged the new team to uphold the visions and the legacy of the predecessors. ENSF incoming President, Chingmak Kumchuba Chang, in his speech stated to uphold the demands of the former team which has not been made successfully concluded, following the completion of their tenure being overshadowed by the pandemic. 

Confederation of Chang Students’ Union, President spoke on behalf of six federation Units to come together to achieve the common goal of ENSF, which was followed by mass prayer.

In the tenure 2021-2024, some of the Council of Executive includes President C Chingmak Kumchuba Chang; Vice President Nuheymong Yimchunger and Sepikyu J. Jinger Sangtam; General Secretary, Khumo P Khiam; Finance Secretary Henmei Phom; Information and Publicity Secretary K Keyoungkhum Yimchunger; Women Coordinator Thace Shio Khim. The Federal Assembly has the following- Speaker Phoei Konyak; Deputy Speaker Chumtsase Sangtam; Assembly Secretary L. Kiukhum Yimchunger; Advisory Board includes YP Chillio Khiam, Khongjah Konyak, Changsang Soted Chang, Shasha L Phom, Sepili Sangtam and Apong Janger Yimchunger.
