DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (MExN): Evershine School, Dimapur began its 3 day sports meet on March 28. The evens commenced with an invocation followed by a mass drill displayed by the children of four house contingents and oath taking ceremony by the respective house captains. Some of the highlights of the events were running race, three legged race, sack race, high jump, long jump, balloon fight, musical chair etc. Earlier, the administrator of the school, Suresh Menon laid emphasis on the importance of games and sports as it is an integral part of education and also being recognized increasingly day by day from both educational and social points of view. He stated that games and sports help in building of a harmonious all round personality – cultivates confidence, endurance, cooperation and enables us to break the dullness, monotony and tensions of day to day life by giving new vigour and refreshment.
