Film Association of Nagaland plans activities

Executives and members of the FAN during the 2nd general meeting held at Kohima on July 7.

Kohima, July 7 (MExN): The Film Association of Nagaland (FAN) held its 2nd general meeting at Kohima on July 7. The house discussed on hosting the Federation of Film society of India (FFSI) to inaugurate its Nagaland Chapter which will be held in Dimapur. 

Film Association of Nagaland is an organization having professionals members in media, photography, cinematography, acting etc the house during the meeting discussed on how to promote one another's skills, a press release received here stated. 

During the meeting, the members discussed modalities to work out to organize an open online film competition on ‘Lockdown tales.’

To enhance and better the skills of the FAN members during the pandemic, the house discussed and shared to hold workshop for its members and also to hold workshops for the public to create awareness and to help disseminate knowledge on film making and in the field of production with FAN members as resource persons. 

Members of the FAN who were selected for their co-production market and participated in the Film Bazaar, Goa, Docedge, Kolkata, NDFC film bazaar, Goa shared their experienced to members during the house discussion. 

The house further decided that tenure of the present executive team to be extended for another term to carry out the activities which has been kelp on hold. 

Earlier, Kivini Shohe, President FAN, in her welcome address stresses on how the pandemic has made each one re-look at one's profession and how to contribute to take the organization forward. Meanwhile, treasurer, Avino Tase presented on the financial report. 

It may be mentioned that altogether there are 50 members under FAN organization and due to the lockdown most of the members attended the general meeting online.
