Follow all safety protocols, DC Dimapur directs NGOS

Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Anoop Khinchi on Monday urged all organisations/NGOs engaged in the humanitarian act of distributing food to daily wage earners, migrant workers, people in distress and policemen performing duty on the streets, to ensure that all food safety regulations, precautions and social distancing protocols are maintained.

In a circular made available through the DIPR, the DC stated that “social distancing and other laid down protocols were sometimes not maintained while carrying out humanitarian acts.”

The DC requested the organisations/NGOs to carry out the activities only through the collaboration of the District Administration so that proper food safety regulations, precautions and social distancing were maintained and also to ensure that the distribution of relief materials to the destitute across the entire town can be covered in a systematic way.

As such he requested all those who are engaged in food distribution and other humanitarian activities to contact EAC (Dev) on mobile no. 7005968695 for necessary coordination and assignment of areas under the community kitchen initiative.
