Kohima, August 30 (MExN): Former international Naga footballer Kelechiito Khazo (Aba) passed away this morning following a brief illness.
Aba started playing national level in wrestling and football since 1986.
Roko Angami, president Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) stated that he alongwith Aba represented India Football team Under -16 at Israel in 1994.
“He was a dedicated and talented player who always gave his best in and off the field. He was also a soft spoken gentleman and we had high respect for each other. Our camaraderie will last till eternity,” Roko stated in a condolence message.
On behalf of the football fraternity of Nagaland, Roko conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
