DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): Tangha Baptist Youth Endeavour (TBYE) organized the 4th Inter Society Swimming Competition on August 22 at Shemyung Pool in Tangha Village, under Longleng District.
The event was graced by Block Development Officer (BDO) of DRDA Longleng, P. Angam Longho, who attended as the guest of honour. The program began with an invocation by Hamphe Phom, Pastor of Tangha Baptist Church.
In his address, P. Angam Longho commended the uniqueness of the event and encouraged the youth and students to continue organizing such competitions. He emphasized that these activities not only foster peace and harmony within the village but also have the potential to positively influence neighboring villages, paving the way for future growth.
The event was chaired by Women Pastor K. Chüvaü of Tangha Baptist Church, while the Chairman of Tangha Village, P. Longjah Phom, also delivered a short speech. The welcome address was given by Youth Pastor Lamdok, and the Old Melody Singers (OMS) performed a special song during the program.
Deacon Ongche delivered the benediction, and the special guest, P. Angam Longho, officially declared the competition open.
