Free coaching camp held for students in Longleng

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): The Election Department, Longleng in collaboration with Nagaland Sports Association and the District Administration, Longleng organized a two-day free football coaching camp for students of Yingli College and Bautung Government Higher Secondary School on September 22 and 23, at the public local ground. 

This initiative was launched under SVEEP campaign 2023, to promote awareness among the youth population, and to target young voters and educating and involving them in the electoral process.

At the inaugural program on September 22, Dr Nurul Islam, Associate Professor and HoD (Education) SVEEP, Nodal Officer of Yingli College, delivered the welcome address and Imtimangyang, PGT, SVEEP Nodal Officer, Bautung Government Higher Secondary School proposed the vote of thanks.

 Invocation and a blessing for the camp was pronounced by Toli Yepthomi, EU coordinator. The program was chaired by Lungkube, AEO Longleng. 

During the technical session, students received basic football skills and techniques. On day two, the students were divided into two teams and an exhibition match was played. A number of 78 students participated in the coaching camp. Voters’ registration drive was also conducted. The program was attended by the staffs from the District Administration and Election Branch, Longleng.
