State level coordination meeting on Mission Antyodaya and People’s Plan Campaign on Gram Panchayat Development Plan held 
 

Kohima, September 23 (MExN): A State level coordination meeting on Mission Antyodaya and People’s Plan Campaign on Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) was held at Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall on September 23.


Principal Secretary, Bendangkokba, IAS, while welcoming the line departments informed that the mission was carried out last year as well, however it was not successful due to poor participation of the line departments. Towards this end, he called upon all the concerned departments to come forward and coordinate to make it a success. Underscoring the important role and responsibility of frontline workers, he suggested appointment of one frontline worker for each block and 2 or 3 workers maybe appointed and trained for bigger villages and blocks.


Highlighting on People’s Plan Campaign (PPC), Secretary RD, Neposo Theluo informed that the campaign is an effective strategy for ensuring the preparation of GPDP in a campaign mode. The campaign will be rolled out as “Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas” from October 2 to December 31.


During the meeting, the line departments were also asked to nominate nodal officers to attend the orientation programme of the campaign to be held on September 26 at RD Conference Hall at 11:00 am. The departments are to submit the names, contact numbers and e-mail IDs of the nodal officers for coordination.


The coordination meeting was attended by officers from department of Rural Development, Works & Housing, Water Resources, NIC, Art & Culture, Power, School Education, Agriculture, NRE, PHED, NHM, AH&VS and Social Welfare department.
