This scheme is aimed at providing support to eligible Indian citizens who are not covered under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) or Priority Households (PHH) schemes of the National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA).
Under the new guidelines, individuals or families with an annual income exceeding Rs 2.50 lakh who are not beneficiaries of AAY or PHH are eligible for enrollment under the GHH scheme.
Key points of the eligibility criteria and application process include:

Application requirements: Applicants must submit family details in the prescribed format, certified and signed for approval. The submission will be verified against the RCMS portal.
Aadhaar requirement: Aadhaar numbers of all family members to be included in the ration card must be provided.
Application does not guarantee card: Submission of an application alone does not guarantee issuance of the GHH card.
Eligible individuals or families are advised to visit the office of the respective District Civil Supply Officer or Assistant Civil Supply Officer within the Department of Food & Civil Supplies during office hours for further details and to obtain the required application format. The deadline for submitting the application forms is September 30, 2024, though the process will remain open until further notice.
