Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): The Government Hindi Institute (GHI), Dimapur celebrated the 51st Hindi Divas on September 20.
A press release issued by Dr PB Philip, Principal GHI Dimapur stated that the programme was conducted by Rongsenkala (HT). Dr Philip in his welcome speech highlighted the role of GHI “which has produced qualified Hindi teachers in the state that has given a way to promote and propagate Hindi education in the State.”
The guest speaker, Zakienei Khoube, Deputy Director, Directorate of School Education while addressing the audience stated that right from the inception of the lone Hindi Institute dated back to 1968, many qualified Hindi teachers has been produced and he is the living example to hold the present post, for which he acknowledged the state as well as Central Government and Central Institute of Hindi, Agra for having keen interest for Hindi education.
Khoube also highlighted the role of Hindi Teachers Union to popularise Hindi in the state, he exhorted the trainees to study Hindi not for only govt job but be fitted any field by learning the language and be a part in Nation building.
The guest speaker also handed over the best performance award of the academic Session 2018-19 to 2 GHI Students (Male & Female) which includes commendation certificate, books and cash prizes under the “Governor’s Grants Fund Award” that will continue every year.
YP Sing (HT) gave a brief history on how Hindi is constitutionally the official language in-spite having so many rich languages in India.
During the celebration, 15 trainees who got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position in the competition were given commendation certificates along with cash prizes.
The release also stated that this year the Hindi Divas celebration was organized in-coordination with “Samagra Shiksha” as per the Direction of Principal Director, Shanavas C. (IAS), Directorate of School Education, Kohima. It also mentioned that that several competition programmes on various topics were also conducted from September 14 to 21.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by AS Yarthtngam (H/Instructor) with National anthem followed by lunch.
