Kohima, September 7 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi congratulated Satyen Kumar Roy, a Mathematics teacher of Mount Moriah School, Ungma Mokokchung on receiving the National Teacher's Award 2019.
He received the award from the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind on September 5 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
The Governor has lauded the innovative technique used by Satyen in the classroom to help students understand and grasp the subject, informed a press release issued by the PRO to Governor.
He appreciated the innovative methods of teaching that developed a positive attitude among students towards joyful learning of mathematics, it said.
Ravi further extending his wishes to all the recipients of the State Level Teachers Award 2019.
He also urged the teachers to “assiduously maintain the integrity of their calling, which is the highest among all, by their impeccable personal and professional conduct and help Nagaland gain its long overdue glory.”
