Dimapur, September 18 (MExN): IBM SkillsBuild for Adult Learning (SB4AL) conducted a three-day training programme at Dimapur Government College from September 15 to 17, with Soft Skill Trainer Kamalesh Krishnaraj as the resource person.
The training sessions were organised by EDUNET Foundation, Gurugram, Haryana, in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, and the IQAC and Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Dimapur Government College.
During the programme, Krishnaraj introduced participants to the IBM SkillsBuild platform, through which students and others can undertake courses ranging from machine learning and artificial intelligence to leadership and resume writing.
He said certificates that are universally accepted are awarded upon completion of the various courses. The courses are offered free of cost and have been developed by experts from around the world.
The three training sessions were well received by the students and formed part of efforts to upskill young people in Nagaland and India.
The programme also emphasised the close link between skilling and employment, with the organisers stating that such training programmes were the need of the hour.
Altogether, 1,600 students participated in the three-day training programme.
