Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): The two-Day National seminar on “Concept of Property in Naga Customary Tradition" organised by Research Committee, Immanuel College(IC), Dimapur in collaboration with Institute of Naga Studies, Dimapur, sponsored by Council of Social Science Research-North Eastern Regional Centre(ICSSR-NERC) was held at the college premises concluded on September 21.


A press release issued by Akutu Poireng, Media Cell Convener IC Dimapur stated that the two-day seminar had 15 presenters altogether presenting on the four sub-topics: Conceptual Understanding of Property; Land Identity and property Ownership; Exploring Concept of Property in Naga Context and Personal Law in Relation to Property.


The Seminar had four technical sessions which were chaired by Prof Kedilezo Kikhi,Department of Sociology, Tezpur University, Prof N Venuh, Department of History & Archaeology, Nagaland University and Dr A S Shimreiwung ,Asst Prof Dept of Sociology, Tezpur University Assam. The seminar concluded with distribution of certificates and vote of thanks by Imjungla Imchen, Convener, Research & Seminar Committee.
