IDAN with Maruti Suzuki hosts prog on motor industry

Dimapur, September 20 (MExN): Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Government of Nagaland together with Maruti Suzuki India Limited held a programme to sensitize about skills development in the motor industry. It was held Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on September 20. 

A press release stated here that Maruti Suzuki India Limited together in association with the Government of Haryana has set up Japan-India Institute for manufacturing which looks to train the youth from all over the country, which include Nagaland to make them better equipped and employable all over the country and overseas.

“What is unique about this initiative is that even if Maruti do not have their industries set up in the State, they are extending their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, as mandated by the Government of India to Nagaland, which can be availed by the students,” it added. 

OSD, IDAN encouraged the students that with this international certification, they will have the highest standard of training, as the Japanese are known for their world-class standards, which will enhance their employability. “Students may come back to Nagaland and share this knowledge with their friends, start their own businesses, and grow together,” the OSD added.
