IIYF submits representations to DoHFW, PWD

Zunheboto, April 9 (MExN): The Ikiye-Itovi Youth Front (IIYF) submitted representations to the department of Health and Family Welfare (DoHFW) and Public Works Department (PWD) on April 8 seeking redressal of ‘public grievances’.

The official delegation led by Kavi Awomi, President IIYF met Principal Director, Health and Family Welfare Dr Kevichusa Medikhru at his office chamber.

 

A representation was submitted seeking provision of at least one ambulance at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Satoi Sub-division Satakha under Zunheboto district.  IIYF also submitted a recommendation letter of CMO Zunheboto and Medical Officer, PHC, Satoi requesting for allotment of ambulance at PHC, Satoi.

In this connection, Dr Kevichusa Medikhru said that the department has put on record and would give priority to provision of ambulance after it is allotted and made available to the department. The delegation also assured full cooperation to the department for public welfare.

IIYF also briefed the Principal Director about the recent ill-fated accident which occurred between Ikiye-Itovi, Satoi area on February 22. The Principal Director assured that there will be no absence of Health Workers at any point of time in the Health Centre, IIYF informed in its press release on Friday.

The IIYF officials also met Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD and served a representation to the department for the ongoing construction of PMGSY Phase-IX batch (2017-18) between Satoi to Ikiye-Itovi for quality workmanship as per the specifications of the work order. They also informed the department to obtain ‘Clearance Certificate’ from the Ikiye-Itovi Joint Council before all the remaining bills is released in order to avoid any misunderstanding between the department and the two villages.

Meanwhile, due to shortage of machineries, the work progress is slow, the IIYF stated, adding that Ikiye to Itovi road construction is not yet constructed. In this regard, it appealed the department to expedite the construction and carry out physical inspection from time to time.

In the event of failure to comply with the demands, IIYF would leave no stone unturned to pursue any form of action and may also invite legal action and the department would be held responsible for any consequences, it cautioned.
