Tetso College ‘Impact Lecture’ focuses on synergy of creativity and innovation

Chümoukedima, April 17 (MExN): Tetso College, Chümoukedima kicked off its first Impact Lecture Series, funded by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education through the Innovation, Incubation, and Intellectual Property Rights Cell at the college on April 17. It was held on the theme ‘Synergy of Creativity and Innovation: Exploring Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship, and Intellectual Property Rights.’

A press release received here stated that the keynote speaker was Keneirienuo T Zatsu, Deputy Director of Industries and Commerce and Leader of the State Startup Team while the resource persons were Yanpvuo Kikon, an entrepreneur and technology consultant, and Er Rishav Sethi, CEO of National Institute of Technology & Innovation/LIMPL.

Addressing the entire Tetso College studentpreneur community, Keneirienuo T Zatsu shared thoughts on ‘Enabling Startups through Incubation and Seed Funding’. She emphasized the importance of the startup ecosystem for Nagaland with the North East development. 

The students had a session on ‘Smart Governance and Cultural Entrepreneurship: Pioneering Development and Creativity in North-East India’ by Yanpvuo Kikon. He discussed governance, drawing comparisons with some developed countries. Later, he covered the entrepreneurship world and its importance for the development of the national economy through the same. Students also inquired about how traditional business activities can be transitioned to the digital world.

In the session with Er Rishav Sethi, ‘Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for New Businesses’ was explained. Various types of IPR were discussed, along with an awareness of their importance for conducting business. Examples of reputed companies that have grown rapidly through the development of their unique business were provided. Trademarks were highlighted as investments, and their connection with society was emphasized, showing how businesses can benefit.

The event was presided over by Tetso College students Abel Seb Rengma and Therali Rebecca. Prior to that, Director Kvulo Lorin of Tetso College delivered the welcome address, and vote of thanks was extended by Abdul Salahudeen V, Coordinator, Innovation, Incubation and Intellectual Property Rights Cell, Tetso College.
