Calling all believers to come together for a ‘spiritual awakening,’ a first of its kind inter-denominational crusade called the Festival of Joy, will held in Kohima from November 24-27. The event will be organized by the Christian Revival Mission Church.
Announcing this at a press conference in Kohima today, Zhaviu Pienyu, Convener, Festival of Joy called on all the denominations to come and worship together and glorify one God.
Conscious of the need for spiritual awakening among Nagas in Nagaland, the crusade is being organized with the hope that the coming together of all denominations and all churches—the body of Christ— for one cause would bring revival in Nagaland, the organizers said.
Hosted by the Christian Revival Mission Church, Kohima, the four-day event of ‘healing, miracles, signs and wonders’ will revolve around the theme ‘But your sorrow will be turned into Joy (John 16:20)’.
The organizers said that the event will begin on November 24 from 4:00 am onwards at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary Ground for three days and on Sunday, the service will begin at 10:00 am.
With speakers coming from India and abroad, organizers also informed that Apostle Dr PS Rambabu from New Creation Ministries, India will be one of the main speakers while Rev Charley Senior, Soul Harvest Mission, USA and Pastor David Yashü, CR Mission Church, Nagaland will also be speaking at the event. Maintaining that the crusade will witness healing, miracles, signs and wonders, the organizers invited sick people to be part of the services.
While the services would be conducted in English, it will also be translated in Nagamese, the informed.
Free bus services for the crusade are being arranged at certain points like South and North of Kohima and the pickup points will be informed later.
While the arrangements are being made for a crowd of a thousand at the ground, the organizers are expecting attendance of at least 5000-10000 to attend the inter-denominational event.
