
Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): DMI St Joseph Global School observed a virtual celebration of the International Day against Violence and Bullying including Cyber bullying with activities like poster making, drawing/painting, slogan writing and thought-provoking messages on the theme on November 6.
As part of the celebration, Principal Backiyaraj T conducted an online workshop for the students of Class VI- IX on the theme through a PowerPoint presentation and videos marking the occasion.
He highlighted the school-related gender based violence and how to stay alert and safe from physical, psychological and sexual violence from perpetrators.
Later in the day, students were assigned activities with a stipulated time. For class IV-V, drawing and painting was conducted while for class VI-VI slogan-writing and poster making for class VII-VIII was held.
For class IX-X, making video of thought-provoking messages was conducted, as per a press release from the school.
The objective of the celebration was to protect children from all kinds of violence and bullying from school, family and society, and to make them learn and grow well, the release informed.
