IoFC conduct educators workshop at Kiphire

Educators from private schools attended the educators workshop organized by the ‘Initiative of Change’ (IoFC) Asia Plateau, Panchgani which was organised by the Kiphire District Private Schools Society at Agape School Kiphire. The workshop was inaugurated by Benjamin Longkup, SDO(C) on Friday last.  

Inaugurating the programme, the SDO (C) encouraged the teachers to take one’s profession with pride and serve the society with commitment and dedication. Sharing his experience as a teacher once upon a time, Benjamin also said, “one has great responsibilities as a teacher and the joy one find is when ones student excels in one’s life.”  

He added that salaries and incentives may not be much in private sector but when one has commitment, money becomes secondary and the love in one’s profession and service to society as teacher becomes important.  

Commenting the private institutions for producing better result in the district, Benjamin lauded the teachers present and encouraged to keep up the spirit to do better so that the district moves ahead in the field of education.  

Setricho ADC, SSA Kiphire who was present at the valedictory function congratulated the teachers for attending the workshop and said that it is blessing to be a teacher and also asked the teachers to love the profession and not just perform duty. He also said that the strength of the nation and the society depend n the strength of the teachers and asked the teachers to be answerable to ones responsibilities.  

Raguram IPS, SDPO Kiphire gave away the certificates to the participants.  

Open forum, inner governance, India I care, the train of life, communication skill, life balance sheet, emotional intelligence, relationship etc were some of the topic discussed during the three days workshop.  

The facilitators of the workshop were Asha Varma and Fatima Rashid from IoFC.
