Kiphire bids farewell to outgoing DC Kesonyu Yhome

Kiphire, February 11: In one of the rarest programme in the history of Kiphire, a public farewell programme was held for outgoing Deputy Commissioner Kesonyu Yhome (IAS). The public of Kiphire today came together at Hopongkyu Memorial hall to bid farewell to the outgoing DC who served the district for a year and five month.

Addressing the gathering and delivering his farewell speech, the outgoing DC said, “If there are any developmental achievements in the district during these past few months, it is all because of the support of my subordinates and the officers who at all time is ready to take up any job for the progress of the district and lauded them.”

Acknowledging that there are more things to be addressed in the district, the outgoing DC thanked the civil societies, officers, citizens and the public in the district for giving fullest cooperation towards the district administration. He said, “I have given my best as Deputy Commission to address the need of the district but there are still many areas to be touched and addressed. As a team we have done some, some half done and some still fresh.” However, he expressed hope that the citizens will give co-operation to his successor so that the things, which are needed for the district, will be addressed.

Yhome also said, “though the plans, policies and agendas for development varies from person to person my predecessors have also given their best for the progress of the district which is all for the progress and development of the district.”

ADC Seyochung Nchumbemo Oduyo while speaking on behalf of the district administration describes the outgoing Deputy Commissioner as national property with high intellectual caliber who is approachable, friendly, and hardworking and dedicated who have concern not only for the staff but also for the citizens and the public as a whole.

Lauding Yhome as the first Deputy Commissioner in the district who have achieved many names, Oduyo said that Kesonyu Yhome (IAS) was the first person to visit all the villages in the district within one and half month of his posting; hold DPDB meeting at Mount Saramati and scaling it; organizing first inter-departmental sports meet; inaugurating first green village; organizing and welcoming the Governor; completing the human development report; celebrating 50th year statehood and holding the 13th general assembly election under his leadership in the district. The ADC also described the DC as the man who is fearless maintaining integrity with true gentleman character and expressed hope that the new assignment as Principal Director School Education will be beneficial for the state.

Dr Anungla, Principal, ZPC who spoke on behalf of the DPDB described Yhome as man with ethics and integrity who maintained discipline and stick on work culture. She also maintained that Yhome’s posting to school education would bring much significant change in the department. USLP Vice president, YTC President, ESSH President, President GB’s union, Bharat scout and Guide, and officers spoke on the occasion.

Charitable trust brothers presented special song while Tainiu ADC Pungro chaired the programme and Lankonsen Tsanglao SDO (C) pronounced vote of thanks. Mugaho President Pastors Union invoked God blessing followed by a luncheon.
