
The tow-day first ever Kiphire Annual Music Fest 2018 ended on a high note featuring a prolific programme and the biggest line-up of artists ever drawing a crowd of more than 6000 audience in attendance.
Kiphire Town rang to the sound of music, with the weather for the most part behaving itself impeccably on May 8 and 9. Apart from Music, awards were also given to people who have made extra-ordinary achievement in the field of sports and social service.
The jam-pack festival saw the mercurial performance from Sepongla Thonger, semi- finalist of Naga Idol 2009 and winner of Eastern Voice Hunt 2013. Adding more vibrancy to the event Crush & Burn band winner of ENSF Rock beat contest and NSACS rock beat contest Kiphire performed on the final night.
Speaking on the sideline of the event, Commandant 7 Assam Rifles Kiphire commented that that the success of this year edition was considered crucial for the future of the event. The festival drew to an exhilarating close with the 7 Assam Rifles Kiphire band taking the stage.
The music feast also facilitated outstanding personality with bouquet and cash. The recipients were Tsirila lone lady footballer, Tsusu Mary of Shalom Home and Ren, a widow and Thsilila, the oldest women in the town. Morung Express News
