Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The Kohima District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has asked all line departments to inputs and suggestions to be incorporated into the revised District Disaster Management Plan (DDMP) and also set a target to complete the plan by January 2023.
According to a DIPR report, the Kohima DDMA held its quarterly meeting on Friday during which the Deputy Commissioner and DDMA Chairperson Shanavas C requested the departments to provide inputs for revision of the DDMP.
Reviewing the last meeting minutes, in regard to the India Disaster Resource Network (IDRN) portal, the DC also reminded the departments who have not submitted the updated data to submit the same at the earliest.
With regard to distribution of relief rice, ADC Kohima Rhosietho Nguori informed that the District Level Distributing Committee has been set by the Government for distribution activities. He informed that some amount had been sanction in this regard, and the house decided to have a meeting with all the area administrative officers and other concerned officers to work out the modality for distribution activities under the district.
The meeting also discussed on the complexity of the IRS structure and other issues in regard to disaster management activities and decided to take up the matters in the next meeting, the DIPR report stated.
