Kohima, September 9 (MExN): The Kohima Dairy Farmers (KDF) in its first meeting held on September 5 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima which was organized by Jotsoma Dairy Farmers Union (JDFU), after a thorough deliberation on the issues of dairy farming, “the house resolved to form an association under the banner “Kohima District Dairy Farmers Association (KDDFA).”
This was informed in a press release issued by Penyüsielie Suokhrie, Sessional Chairman. It stated that the KDDFA was formed with the aim to provide opportunities for dissemination and exchange of knowledge and ideas gained from the experience among the members.
The release also stated that the following office bearers were elected to oversee the smooth functioning of the Association: Penyüsielie Suokhrie as President, Meyiel Naleo as Secretary and Kevingulie Solo as Treasurer. The meeting was organised by the Jotsoma Dairy Farmers Union.
The meeting was attended by dairy farmers from 11 villages.
