Kohima District Planning and Development Board meet held

Kohima, September 16 (MExN): The Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima on September 16 under the chairmanship of Advisor Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr Neikiesalie Kire.
A DIPR report stated that reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes, grant-in-aid in respect of Christian School, Tseminyu, Old Town, the DC Kohima informed that the Sub-Divisional District Planning and Development Board, Tseminyu has recommended and forwarded the matter to the Board, therefore basing on the fulfillment of criteria and recommendation, the Board decided to recommend the case for further submission to the Government.
The committee for verification of the establishment of Koinonia Baptist School at Kezieke, Kohima, presented their report stating that feasibility of parking space was available and shared the School plans for the coming academic year and future as well. In regard to the Departmental profile, DC asked the departments which have not submitted their profiles, to submit reports in the next DPDB meeting. He also reiterated on the restricted use of plastics and requested the members to ensure that people cooperate and make this exercise a success. DC further informed on the revised list of Village Adoption Committee constituted in view of recent transfer and posting of officers and requested the members to finalize and submit their selected village/ward to the DPDB in the next meeting.
In the meeting, SDO (C) Kohima, Longasen Lotha shared proposal on Institution of District Level Awards, streamlining of applications/proposals for Governor’s Award, Inter-Departmental Sport Meet and enforcement of ban on use of single use of Plastic in spheres of work for further deliberation and discussion. The Board deliberated on the proposal and members also shared their views and supported the proposal where the Board further decided and constituted two committees to evaluate and work out on these matters. Committee for Institution of District Level Awards was constituted with ADC Kohima as convenor, and members includes Principal Science College, Project Director RD, Chief Medical Officer, Kohima and District Public Relations Officer and Committee for Inter Departmental Sports Meet was constituted with SDO (Sadar) Kohima as Convenor and DYRSO as member Secretary and other members includes SP Kohima, General Manager DIC and Revenue Officer Kohima.
The DC also informed on the facilities available for verification and authentication through www.Nvsp.in, ‘Voters Helpline’ Mobile App, Common Service Centres (CSCs) where VLEs will assist on payment of nominal fee and Voter Facilitation Centres (VFCs) in the Office of the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) during office hours. He therefore appealed the members to avail the facilities and also to educate the people on the available facilities provided by the Election Commission of India and Election Department.
During the meeting three societies presented their concept and objective of their society for registration where the board decided to forward it to the government for further necessary action.
