Kohima: Oriental College sports meet concludes

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 4 (MExN): The 3rd and final day of the annual sports meet of Oriental College started off with various indoor games and outdoor games at the college campus. The college organized a number of competitions like basketball, carrom, table tennis, badminton, arm wrestling and chess. Carrom: In Men’s singles, Kevipu (Red House) bagged the gold medal and the silver medal was bagged by Mathai(Yellow House). In Women’s singles, Chinkim (Red House) bagged the gold medal and the silver medal by Jasmine (Yellow House). In mixed doubles played between Red House and Blue House, Thongo and Aveno of Red House bagged the gold medal and the silver medal was bagged by Mhonchoni and Azehlang (Blue House).

Table Tennis: Sepichem (White House) bagged the gold medal by defeating Aktar in Men’s Singles Table Tennis Final. In Women’s singles, Visanu (White House) won the gold medal by defeating Wanshom (Red House). In mixed doubles final, Menuolekuo and Vibeinuo (White House) defeated Kevizhanuo and Kegibamleubo (Blue House)
Chess: In men’s category, Roveto Rhakho (Yellow House) won the gold medal. The Silver medal was bagged by MD Shuhan (Red House). In Women’s category, Zedevinuo (White House) bagged the gold medal uncontested.

Badminton: In Men’s Badminton Singles, Kevinguzo (Blue House) defeated Toto (Yellow House) and bagged the gold medal in the final match. In the women’s Badminton Singles final match played between White House and Red House, Laisang (White House) bagged the gold medal by defeating Kekhriesenuo (Red House). Kekhriesenuo (Red House) won the silver medal. In Badminton Mixed Doubles, Yanbentbung and Meiling (Yellow House) won the gold medal by defeating Menuolekuo and Tajungchila (White House). 

Men’s Basketball: In the most men’s basketball Match, Blue House defeated White House with the final score being 64–62.
