Kohima Sumi CSOs felicitates Tolino Chishi for clearing UPSC

KOHIMA, AUGUST 16 (MExN): A felicitation program was organized by Kohima Sümi Officers' Küqhakulu in collaboration with Kohima Sümi Hoho, Kohima Sümi Totimi Hoho, and Kohima Sümi Students' Union at Mount Olive College, Kohima, Auditorium on August 15 in honour of Tolino Chishi, who cleared the UPSC exam 2023 securing All India Rank 431 and joined the coveted IAS cadre.

At the event, Warren Holohon Yepthomi, President, KSOK stated that the Sümi community secured its first IAS in 1982, second in 1996 and after a 28-year gap, Tolino Chishi has broken down the barrier by clearing the UPSC civil service exam and becoming the third Sümi regular recruit to the IAS, a press release issued by media cell, Kohima Sümi Officers' Küqhakulu informed. 

Yepthomi congratulated Tolino Chishi and said she has brought laurels not only to her parents but to the entire Sümi community and the Nagas in general. He wished her all the best in her future endeavors.

K. Shiwoto Wotsa, President, Kohima Sümi Hoho, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Tolino Chishi on behalf of the Sümi community, stating that this achievement is a long-awaited dream and aspiration of the community. Wotsa urged Chishi to continue inspiring young aspirants through her achievements and wished her God's blessings in her career.

In her message, Tolino Chishi, IAS, shared that she was born and raised in Kohima, where she did her schooling during her young age and now despite her family being relocated to Dimapur, she considers Kohima her home. She recalls that her interest in music and worship began in Kohima where she was first introduced to the Sümi Baptist Church Kohima as a pianist during the Sunday devotional service. 

Tolino expressed gratitude to her parents Er. Kasho and mother Mitoli for being very supportive and for encouraging her throughout her life. She emphasized the importance of having big dreams and working hard to achieve that dream, setting example for the community to progress and encourage one another. 

KSSU President Jehu Kinimi, stated that Tolino’s achievement will always be the role model for the young civil service aspiring students. KSTH President Piholi Swunetho, said that Tolino’s achievement also lies in the good deeds of her grandfather Hokhuvi who had sincerely served as pastor and today that blessing has germinated in his grandchild Tolino securing the coveted IAS. Both of them congratulated her achievement and wished her blessings in her future ahead.

KSOK Vice President, Hekato Yeptho, chaired the program. The program started with invocation prayer by Rev Vibo Sümi, Pastor NCRC, Rev Dr G. Kiyeto Sema, Pastor of Sümi Aphuyemi Baptist Church, Kohima, bestowed a blessing prayer.
