KUHUBOTO, JULY 22 (MExN): The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Kuhuboto have issued a directive mandating minimum land width requirements for road development in the town, in an effort to prevent encroachment on public infrastructure.
According to the notification, the minimum width for Kuhuboto Town roads has been fixed at 24 feet, while inter-village roads must maintain a width of 40 feet.
The directive, issued in continuation of an earlier notification dated November 23, 2023, stated that the measure has been necessitated to regulate development and protect public utilities such as roads, footpaths and drainage systems.
All individuals or parties intending to undertake development activities along roadways have been instructed to obtain a joint permit from the Kuhuboto Urban Station Committee and the concerned Sector Goanbura before commencing any construction work.
Officials said the move is aimed at ensuring orderly growth of infrastructure and to safeguard road corridors from unregulated development.
