KVC condemns alleged murder

DIMAPUR, MARCH 26 (MExN): The Kuda Village Council has expressed shock at the alleged murder of one Kevinguto Khate of Kuda Village (C-Khel) on March 16. 


A press release from the KVC informed that the victim (31) was “found murdered in his car on the evening of March 16 alongside the Kuda Road-Phaipijang Junction, adjacent to the 66 KV power Sub-Station at Kuda Village.”


“His family members suspected foul play, and hence, alongwith Kuda Youth Club leaders, examined the footage of CCTV cameras at relevant locations. Upon analysis of the footage, the criminal activity and involvement of four persons were established which included two ladies and two men, who drove in the victim’s car and parked it at the aforesaid spot (at 12:10 PM, mid day), having dumped the dead victim inside his car and escaped in an autorickshaw,” the KVC informed. 
The victim was serving as an Assistant Professor at NIT Nagaland, Chümoukedima since 2013.


“In his untimely demise, the Kuda Village and the State of Nagaland has lost a talented citizen and an engineering technologist. His loss will be irreplaceable,” the KVC stated. It urged the police and administration to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest possible.
