KVK Zunheboto NU initiates Swachhta Hi Seva

Zunheboto, September 13 (MExN): Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Zunheboto, Nagaland University (NU) initiated the Swachhta Hi Seva (September 11 to October 2) programme on September 11. 

KVK, Zunheboto organized the launch of National Animal Disease Control Programme along with the rest of India by organizing a day long programm. A press release from KVK, NU Lumami, stated that Dr Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, Senior Scientist & Head welcomed the farmers and gave a brief information regarding the disease incidence and its effects on productivity of animals. The farmers watched the live telecast of the launching programme held from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

After the Prime Minister’s address, Dr. Z. Nongothung Ezung (SMS, Animal Science) gave lectures on Foot and Mouth Disease, Bruncellosis and artificial insemination. A total of 25 farmers participated in the programme.
