KYO snaps back over ‘blacklist’ issue

Kohima, February 16 (MExN): The Khezhienuomia Youth Organization (KYO), Kohima in reply to the purported invitation of the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) to visit the site on February 19 and 20, stated that the “question of KYO participation in the on spot verification does not arise”, when the contractor concerned had clarified that he had successfully completed the first phase of the portion of works allocated to him on the NH 155.

It also stated that the concerned department has also issued completion certificate, while, the work for the second phase was in “full swing presently”.

In regard to the ‘blacklist’ matter, the KYO in a press note issued by its president, Kekhrulhoulie Khezhie has demanded the ENSF to clarify their stand that on what authority does the ENSF has the right to blacklist a firm or a contractor and also with what motives the federation used such “derogatory and provocative language” in their press statement.

It also stated that the KYO has taken serious note of the ENSF’s statement issued by its president Hawang T. Wangsha and general secretary Changsang Soted and the repeated threat stating : “…any situations or problems that arise out of the issue would be at their own risk, and that it shall not be held responsible” and cautioned that the ENSF would be held sole responsible for earlier statement appearing on newspapers on February 9 and again on February 16 issue. The KYO further reiterated that, should anything happen to our bonafide member Pele Khezhie, the ENSF shall be held solely responsible.

Adding to that it stated: “The Khezhienuomia Youth Organization is aware that both the ENSF President and General Secretary were stationed in Kohima, you are therefore asked to come to the D. Khel Council Hall Kohima Village within 48 hours starting from the day of publication of this item and clarify your position.”
