Leiying Konyak crowned Miss KSUK 2019

Miss KSUK Leiying Konyak is flanked by Ist runner up Neilem Jessica and 2nd runner up Esang Monyu.

The Konyak Students’ Union Kohima (KSUK) conducted its 36th freshers meet cum Miss KSUK 2019 here at Ura Academy Hall under the theme ‘Invigorating young minds’ on July 27. 

Leiying Konyak was crowned Miss KSUK 2019 while Neilem Jessica and Esang Monyu stood the Ist and 2nd runner-up respectively.

Minister for Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along and MLA CL John could not made to the meet as special guests, for which, Lamsong Khiam, Political Assistant to Minister and Manlem, PA to MLA CL John spoke on their behalf respectively.

Lamsong Khiam told the students to always remember their roots and strive to excel.

Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) finance secretary Rev. Yamyap prayed for the freshers.

David Konyak, Baptist College, Kohima College, SYMs Brothers and other artistes enthralled the gathering with scintillating performance.

The Ist session was chaired by KSUK vice president Wannyei Lily while KSUK general secretary Pangaii M. Laktuhu proposed vote of thanks.

AB Phaiba, president Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) graced the second session as special invitee.

Meanwhile, KSUK has elected new team of office bearers with Ngengwan as president and Lhepong as general secretary among the others. 

N. Bongkhao Konyak, advisor DUDA, Awan Konyak, chairperson Nagaland State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NSCPCR) and several other dignitaries also present on the occasion.
