Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): Longitudinal Ageing Study of India (LASI) Nagaland began in Dimapur on April 16. The LASI team will travel to six districts of Nagaland – Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Mokokchung, Mon and Kiphire.
According to a press release from Surenthung Enny, LASI Project Manager, the research will provide in-depth study on overall aspects of the aged, i.e., 45 years and 65 years and above.
He has requested the selected districts’ administrations, Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and ward chairman and village heads concerned to cooperate with the Field Research Team as “this study is very vital for our state.”
The Field Research Team will be closely monitored by Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), team of International Institute of Population Science (IIPS) Mumbai, Field Agency HOPARD (Helping Organization for Poverty Alleviation and Rural Development), the release added.
