
Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): Lotha Public organization (LPO) had demanded the resignation of Er Mhondamo Ovung and S Abenthung Ngullie over the banning of Lotha Baptist Church Association (LBCA).
In a press release, LPO, President, Sulanthung Humtsoe and Vice-President, Phyobemo Odyuo said that “the unethical organization Lotha Hoho led by Er Mhondamo Ovung and Abenthung Ngullie has sabotage the religious field” and it termed the alleged “act as snooping of religious beliefs.” After observing the imbroglio, the LPO alleged that the “duo has lost all moral rights to lead the Lotha community, therefore, Er Mhondamo ovung and Abenthung Ngullie should step down immediately.”
“What has happened in LBCA is an insult to the religious outlook and particularly a black day for the Lotha community,” the organisation stated.
“This is not a matter concerning any individual. This is the question of the safety of freedom to religion,” it asserted while adding that “such practice of snooping as shameful.” Therefore, LPO on behalf of the Lotha people demanded “the duo should take responsible and resigned immediately.”
