WOKHA, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN): The Lotha Students' Union (LSU) has voiced its support for the Concerned Aspirants Group, which has been advocating for age relaxation for candidates impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a press statement, the LSU emphasized its alignment with the aspirants' concerns, recognizing the unprecedented challenges brought about by the pandemic. The Union highlighted that many candidates have faced setbacks beyond their control, which has significantly disrupted their career trajectories. The LSU stressed that these aspirants should not be further disadvantaged by the current circumstances.
The LSU called on the government to address this issue with the seriousness it deserves. The demand for age relaxation is seen as both justified and essential to restore hope and trust in the system, it stated. The Union pointed out that, in a state dealing with severe unemployment, it is crucial for leaders to take decisive action to alleviate the crisis.
The LSU also urged the government to consider the measures taken by other states that have successfully implemented age relaxation policies to support their youth. With notifications for the NPSC and NSSB exams approaching, the LSU appealed the government to approach this matter with empathy and foresight, aiming to empower the youth and pave the way for a more promising future for Nagaland.
