Major fire incident reported in Kiphire

Emergency relief provided to affected families in fire incident Kiphire.

Kiphire, July 23 (MExN): A massive fire broke out this morning at Kipongya Ward, Zone 6, Kisingki which is 3 KM away from Fire Station, Kiphire on July 23.

According to a report, a fire call was received at 05: 40 am. Two water tankers (WTP) with sufficient man power were deployed to combat the fire. After prolonged fire fighting efforts lasting one hour, the fire was brought under control, stated a DIPR report. 

Damage assessment reported 6 rooms and three kitchens completely razed by the fire. Adjacent houses around 7-10 household were saved due to timely prompt intervention of the fire fighting efforts.

Two minor injuries were reported and sent to District Hospital for first aid. The fire station responded promptly despite the distance and lack of road connectivity.

The deployment of WPTs and sufficient manpower played a crucial role in controlling the fire and preventing further damage.
