Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): Members of Protect Dimapur COVID-19 along with District Task Force Dimapur, District Administration conducted masks checking and awareness campaign on February 7, covering several areas of Dimapur.
The group divided into four teams covered DC court area, GS Road, New Market and City Tower Dimapur, stated a DIPR report. The teams penalised the defaulters and also educated them for following Covid appropriate behaviours.
Initiated by Associate Pastor, Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, Yanbemo Lotha, Protect Dimapur Covid 19 was started in 2020 and several Covid awareness campaigns were organised for the citizens of Dimapur from July 2020 till date.
The forum consists of NGOs, CSOs and Christian based organizations. Protect Dimapur Team has also distributed around 5k masks free of cost to the general public of Dimapur since its formation, through free will contribution from the members.
The current Covid Awareness campaign and masks checking will be continued more strictly and the forum will assist the District Task Force, Yanbemo informed.
