The fourth day of the 27th Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) Trophy 2025 brought contrasting results at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. While Telongjem FC and Intermingle Club played out a goalless draw in the first match, Doyang Strikers Mokokchung displayed dominance with a convincing 4–0 victory over Thunderbolt FC in the day’s second fixture.
The opening match of the day ended in a goalless draw as Telongjem FC and Intermingle Club shared the spoils in a closely contested encounter. Telongjem, the three-time consecutive champions, looked composed in possession and tried to dictate play, but were unable to find the breakthrough against a well-organized Intermingle defense.
Intermingle, in their first outing of the tournament, showed good discipline and matched Telongjem’s tempo for most of the game. Both sides created a few half-chances, but neither managed to capitalize, with the finishing touch missing on several occasions. The stalemate earned Telongjem FC a point to take their tally to four, while Intermingle Club picked up their first point of the tournament.

Despite their early promise in the previous round, Thunderbolt FC failed to match Doyang’s composure and attacking rhythm, struggling to maintain possession against the experienced Strikers side.
