MDVA supports fight against COVID-19 pandemic

Mokokchung, June 18 (MExN): Empowering the District Task Force for COVID-19 Mokokchung in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) donated Rs 50000 towards procuring of cartridges for TrueNat machines in the District.


The donation was handed over to Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner, Limawabang Jamir by MDVA President, Imtipokyim at DC’s Chamber on June 18.


While appreciating the tireless effort and initiative undertook by State Government and District Task Force for COVID-19 Mokokchung led by Mokokchung DC to fight against this contagious virus, the MDVA officials said that the donation was contributed through well-wishers collection among its members on account of yearlong Silver Jubilee celebration of MDVA.


The MDVA also assured its support to the District Task Force Team in overcoming the challenges during this unprecedented crisis.  


Senior MDVA member Lima Aier on stressed that because of the pandemic many sports activities in the District could not be held, however, assured that sports activities will resume after we over this pandemic.


Deputy Commissioner also assured that as the Chairman of the Mokokchung District Sports Council, will revive the sports activities in the District and bring back the sporting legacy in the District.
