Meghalaya--Five more fresh cases of COVID-19 recorded

Meghalaya recorded 5 more fresh cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Out of the 5 cases, two cases were detected from East Khasi Hills, two from West Garo Hills and one case was detected from Ri-Bhoi district, even as 13 more persons recovered from the virus during the day.

Till Wednesday afternoon, the State recorded 572 active cases out of which 246 are from the BSF, 291 are civilians and 35 are other armed forces.

The number of samples sent for testing for COVID-19 till Wednesday afternoon is 35198. Out of these samples, 34239 tested negative for the virus and the number of results awaited is 175.

Till date, a total of 207 persons have recovered and five died of the virus in Meghalaya.
