Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): Menstrual hygiene awareness programme and distribution of free sanitary napkins was held at the DC's office in Dimapur on August 4.
The programme was initiated by the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Anoop Khinchi, IAS, in collaboration with the Community Health Initiative (CHI).
In his address, the DC highlighted the importance of good hygiene practices and the role of educated girls in contributing to the country's development. He later distributed around 3000 sanitary napkins to all the school and college students attending the program.
Loreni Sophia, Director of CHI, had an interaction and awareness session with the students and teachers on menstrual hygiene management.
The programme was participated by students and teachers from the Dimapur Government College, Government High School Sarpura, Government Higher Secondary School Nagarjan, Government High School Lenrijan, Government High School Burma Camp.
