Mock drill exercise on earthquake in Longleng

Longleng, March 25 (MExN): The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Longleng in collaboration with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted mock drill exercise on earthquake on March 25 at DC's office complex, Longleng as part of its routine exercise for preparedness and awareness when actual disaster strikes. 

A DIPR report stated that the mock drill exercise was conducted by active participation of Government departments and agencies playing their respective roles and responsibilities as assigned to them in the Incident Response System (IRS), guidelines and structure issued by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA). 

The rescue team was displayed by National Disaster Response Force while the Incident Commanders, Operation Section, Planning Section and Logistic Section communicated each other to take stock of the situation.

After the mock drill exercise review meeting comprised of incidents commanders was held at DC's conference hall under the chairmanship of Responsible Officer Shri. D. Robin ADC Longleng. He lauded the NDRF, incident commanders and all those who took part in the mock drill for their active participation and cooperation. 

The Commandant 12th NAP (IR) battalion, Chingtok and Principal Yingli College were the observers of the mock drill exercise. Expressing their satisfaction with the mock drill exercise the observers also suggested to conduct such drill exercise twice a year so that our team of officers are more aware, active and ready to respond when real disaster strikes us.
