Mon District Youth Parliament competitions held

Winners of Mon District Youth Parliament debate and quiz competition held at Konjong Higher Secondary School, Mon on September 13.

Mon, September 14 (MExN): Mon District Youth Parliament debate and quiz competition was organized at Konjong Higher Secondary School, Mon sponsored by Department of Parliamentary Affairs on September 13. 

A press release received here stated that Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mon; St. John’s Higher Secondary School, Mon and Konjong Higher Secondary School, Mon participated in the programme. 

The judges for the debate were Naomi, Director Hill Area Development Organisation, Bangwang, Assistant Professor, Mon Theological College and Suresh, Administrator, St. Mary’s High School, Mon. Alem N. Konyak and Lanpong were the moderators for debate while Aban was the quiz master.

The winners for debate were Wangtin Konyak from St. John’s Higher Secondary School and Imsuwati Longkumer from Konjong Higher Secondary School. They will be representing the district in the State Level Competition. The selected students for quiz who will also be representing the district in the state level competition are KN Lethai Konyak and Leya S Konyak from St. John’s Higher Secondary School and Y Toimei Konyak from Konjong Higher Secondary School. 
The State Level Competition is scheduled to be held in Kohima from October 16 to 18.
