More supports demand for removal of Kiphire DC

Kiphire, January 28 (MExN): The Sitimi Area Sangtam Students' Union (SASSU) has condemned the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire for displaying his arrogant attitude towards the General Secretary of United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP) during the Aspirational District Committee meeting held at DC Office Kiphire on January 22.

The Union in a statement issued by its President, Edward Sangtam said, “it is astonishing to learn that the DC whose prime duty was to ensure transparency and work in harmonious coordination with NGOs and stakeholders for the progress of the district rather went on verbally abusing the USLP general secretary which is unacceptable and intolerable.”

SASSU has appealed the state government to take stern action against the concerned DC as demanded by USLP. It has also extended unflinching support and cooperation to USLP till the demand is fulfilled.

DCC Kiphire: The District Congress Committee (DCC) Kiphire district has extended support to the demand for removal of Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire within seven days as called by United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP). The DCC Kiphire District has expressed utter resentment and dismay over the alleged act of humiliation and called for immediate action over the matter.

AST: The Akehta Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang (AST) has strongly condemned the “intolerable act of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire” towards the General Secretary of USLP. AST President, Apila and General Secretary, Atsala Anar stated that the orginazation support USLP's decision and demand the government to take immediate and necessary action towards the erring officer at the earliest. The AST (apex Sangtam Women organization) further extended its fullest support and cooperation towards USLP the demand.
