DDCA beat Medziphema in friendly match
Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): A friendly cricket match of 25 overs each was held at Medziphema on July 8 between DDCA Coaching Center and Medziphema U-16 team. According to a press note issued by Rangon Seb, Team Manager Medziphema, the team from Medziphema won the toss and elected to bat scoring 98 runs all out in 20 overs. Mimin top scored with 30 runs while Nungsang and Raj contributed 9 and 8 runs respectively. For DDCA Coaching Center, Tahmeed and Zafir picked up 3 wickets each and Kawaljit took two. In reply, DDCA Coaching Center scored 101 for the loss of 8 wickets. Hedayatullah scored 30 runs while Jafir remain not out on 18 runs. For Medziphema team Nungsang, Kezha and Sony took three wickets each. DDCA won by 2 wickets. Meanwhile Temsu the Cricket coach of Medziphema has thanked all the participants, the DDCA and well wishers for the successful conduct of the match and hoped that such matches may help develop cricket in the grass root level in Nagaland.
Social work for Second 5-men Soccer tourney
Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): A meeting for the purpose of conducting a social work on upcoming “Second 5-men Soccer (Tiger-5) Tournament 2011” will be held with the organizing committee of Emporia Sporting Club at its treasurer residence on July 16 (Saturday). In this regard, all the members are requested to contact John Yengkhom for further information. Meanwhile, the winner of the tournament will win a cash prize of Rupees Twenty Thousand (Rs. 20,000/- only) along with a trophy and Runners up will get Rupees Ten Thousand (Rs. 10,000/- only) along with a trophy and various other individual prizes like: player of the tournament, best discipline and highest scorer will be given.

2nd Aries Rifle & Pistol Championship July 19-21
DIMAPUR, JULY 11 (MExN): The 2nd Aries Rifle & Pistol Championship will be held from 19th to 21st July 2011 at the Indoor shooting range at NST colony, Dimapur. Shooters achieving the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) at the championship will be trained to participate at the 1st North East Air Rifle & Air Pistol Shooting Championship to be held at Imphal and Gun For Glory Shooting Championship at Balewadi Shooting Ranges, Pune from 3rd to 9th August 2011. This was informed in a press note issued by Merang Jamir of Aries Music & Sports Foundation.
Existing members are requested to renew their membership for the next calendar year and new membership will be allowed for registration to those shooters who attended the Coaching Camps viz; Mokokchung, Dimapur and Kohima. The indoor shooting range will be opened for members to practice from 12th July to 18th July 2011, 2.00.pm onwards.
