Musicians Guild Nagaland has been organizing the World Music Day concert since the last five years in Kohima.
World Music Day concert is one of the biggest concerts in Nagaland featuring the best artist from Nagaland and other northeast states to celebrate World Music Day along with the rest of the world.
In the midst of the humanitarian crisis, as music enthusiasts and artists around the world celebrate World Music Day, Musicians Guild, Nagaland desire to do its part in alleviating the pain of those who are suffering.
Towards this cause, it will be hosting a virtual relief concert on June 21 with the intent of raising funds from free will donors.
All proceeds from this event will go towards providing relief and support to COVID-19 patients from financially poor families who are struggling to fight against this pandemic, it stated.
In these trying and difficult times, local musicians have also been affected badly since 2020 as they are struggling to survive with no live shows anymore with full time musicians going through a very difficult time, it stated.
Keeping in mind all this, Musicians Guild is also presenting a Music awards for all north eastern states to encourage and support our Musicians during this difficult times.
So far, 193 entries from all the seven north eastern states have registered for the MG Music awards.
Results will be declared on the 21st of June during World music day virtual concert.
World Music Day concert is initiated by Symphony Academy of Music in collaboration with San Production, Indihut, Out loud Inc, Shiu Lights and Highland Dawn Media.
The concert is presented by Musicians Guild and supported by TaFMA and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority.
WMD virtual concert and MG Music Awards will be telecasted in Musicians Guild NL YouTube channel on 21st June 2021 @ 6:00 PM.
